The Fourth Annual Tosai* Auction
- June 10, 2006

Chair: Bry Bateman

The first rule of the Tosai auction is: It rains. Pitchforks and hammer handles, needles and daggers, dogs/cats/raccoons. This year we were lucky. The rain came early. By the time the auction began, the clouds were breaking up and the rain was gone. Everyone had a good time and got fine fish.

Please click on the small pictures below to see the full-size versions.

One benefit of attending the auction is getting to see the Bateman's yard and ponds.
The rain has stopped, but it's still pretty soggy
...fish love it though.
Everyone crowds in to inspect the tosai
and the auction begins
The idea is to take some of these little fellows
...and grow them up big and fat.
Now the special drawing for the Brandwood kohakus
...who have grown and developed considerably in quarantine

.

Because we had more buyers than kohakus, we added two two-year-old Ueno showas from Kevin Karstens
Bagging them up to go home
All ready to go
