KOI REGISTRATION AND IDENTIFICATION

The entry fee may be paid with the reservation or may be paid when the fish are brought to registration. We will be taking digital photos of your fish, so there is no need to bring photographs with you. Here's the Vat Reservation form, which is due by Monday, July 6.

POINT SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING VAT REQUIREMENTS

Please use the following system as a guide to determine how many fish can be placed in each vat:

1. Multiply the size (1 thru 7) of your fish by the number of fish you are showing in that size.
Size 1 - up to 8 inches
Size 2 - 8 to 12 inches
Size 3 - 12 to 16 inches
Size 4 - 16 to 20 inches
Size 5 - 20 to 23 inches
Size 6 - 23 to 26 inches
Size 7 - over 26 inches

2. Do this calculation for all your koi. For example if you bring one size 5 = 5 pts., and two size 4 = 8 pts., and three size 3 = 9 pts. These six fish would total 5 + 8 + 9 = 22 points.

3. The show guidelines for tank capacity are 25 points for a six-foot vat and 40 points for an eight-foot vat.

4. Requisition the vats you need as soon as possible.

CONDITION OF FISH DURING TRANSPORT AND EXHIBIT

For the safety and health of your fish, DO NOT FEED THEM FOR 5 DAYS PRIOR TO THE SHOW. Fish with undigested food require more oxygen, excrete contaminants into the water, and are more easily stressed. Only members of the fish handling committee will handle fish during the show. Anyone wishing to inspect their fish must receive permission from the show Chairperson. All exhibitors are expected to provide one bowl and one net for each vat reserved. A limited number of bowls and nets are available on a first-come basis.
