Goldfish Entry Form

1. Fish should be entered for the show prior to 5:00 PM on the Friday night prior to judging on Saturday. Plans for late entry of fish must be confirmed with the Show Chairman or designate, prior to the show. The Show Chairman will retain the right to deny entry to the show due to late registration. Pre-registration should be sent to Peter Ponzio at 847-726-0933, to ensure that tanks are available for the show.

2. Fish will be housed in show tanks according to the discretion of the Show Chairman. If it is determined that the fish load in any one tank is too great, the Show Chairman will arrange to have fish transferred to another aquarium.

3. Benching of fish (fish classification) will be done by the Show Chairman or designate. The owner of the fish may consult with the Show Chairman on fish benching, but the decision of final fish placement is at the discretion of the Show Chairman.

4. The following categories of goldfish will be recognized:

5. The following major awards are presented at the show:

6. All fish must be in good health, with no outward signs of disease present. The Show Chairman or designate will inspect fish prior to entry, and will consult with the owner if fish are deemed to have active signs of disease.

7. Water quality will be monitored by the MPKS water quality team. The Norm Meck method of water quality will be used.

8. Oxygen and change water will be available for taking fish home. It is the responsibility of the show entrants to provide for adequate packaging materials for fish to be taken home.

9. Fish should not be fed for a period of three to four days prior to the show.

10. An entry fee of $5 per fish will be required for the show. This fee may change from time to time as the MPKS chooses.

11. Trophy sponsorships are available for interested parties. Any person interested in sponsoring a trophy for the show should contact Jim Castillo at 773-612-0928; Peter Ponzio at 847-726-0933; or Bay Bateman at 630-325-6351.

12. The Judge's decision on the final standings for fish or the awarding of prizes is final.
