14th Annual MPKS Goldfish Show
GFSA / MPKS Goldfish Show Rules
1. Each exhibitor is to be a member of a recognized koi,
pond, goldfish, or water garden society or club, unless
said exhibitor has never shown before. This constitutes
a novice.
2. There is no limit to the number of entries per exhibitor,
but all entries must be owned by the exhibitor, and the
exhibitor must be present at the show.
33. Tank reservations must be received by August 12, 2006.
You do not have to provide detailed fish information when
you reserve your tank.
4. Tanks will cost $3.00 when reserved by August 12, 2006
and $5.00 thereafter. If you fail to reserve tanks prior
to the deadline, the Chairman does not guarantee that there
will be any left and he will not assume responsibility thereof.
5. It is of paramount importance that all exhibitors fast
their fish at least five days prior to the show in
order to preserve water quality.
6. Check-in will be from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday,
August 25. There will be NO Saturday morning check-in unless
approved by the Show Chairperson in advance.
7. Fish are not to be placed in the tanks by exhibitors
until instructed to do so by the show committee.
8. Fish must remain on display until the show is deemed
closed on Sunday August 27 at 1:00 PM unless some other
arrangement is approved by the Chairman in advance.
9. Exhibitor is expected to attend the awards banquet so
to collect their awards, especially major awards (i.e. Grand
Champion, Most Unique, etc.).
10. Goldfish will be judged according to two sizes- Mature
(over three inches) and Young (less than three inches).
The size will be determined by measuring the fish from the
tip of the nose to the base of tail. This will constitute
total body length.
11. At check-in, each fish will be inspected for any health
issues and will be placed into the proper size and category.
12. If a fish is found to be unhealthy, it will be requested
that the fish be removed in a timely fashion.
13. Judging will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday August 26
2006.
14. Please be assured that MPKS will take all possible precautions
to assure the safety of fish entered in the show, but understand
that the owner shall assume all risk and responsibilities
of said fish.
15. Fish are exhibitor fish and as such, should not be advertised
for sale at any time in any fashion.
16. Any contingencies not mentioned in the above rules are
subject to the discretion of the Chairman.
17. The decisions of the Judge, Chairman, Show Committee,
and Club President are final.
